What makes React Native great is its history and the size of its community. Since its debut on the mobile market, it has managed to gather together a huge community of developers. It's like finding an old friend in the world of mobile development.

The major advantage, in my opinion, is the freedom it offers. No imposed tools, no restrictive widgets. You use existing widgets to save time.

In technical terms, if you're already comfortable with JavaScript, you'll love React Native. Why? Because it's primarily JavaScript-based, so there's no need to bother with a new language.

And the ultimate highlight: a single source code for different platforms. From a single source code, it's possible to compile for different platforms, offering a cost-effective approach to cross-platform development. Magic, isn't it?

Which famous applications have been developed with React Native?

At the top of the list is Facebook, the platform that inspired the creation of React Native. The Facebook application is entirely based on this technology. Other notable applications include Instagram, Airbnb and even Shopify.

How do you go about developing a mobile application at Esokia?

At Esokia, everything starts with the gathering of requirements, leading to the creation of a functional specifications document. Working with the customer, Esokia then draws up a set of specifications, whose validation triggers the mock-up production phase.

It's crucial to stress that the mock-up production phase is fundamental to the development cycle of a mobile application, accounting for 60% of my work. Once the mock-up has been jointly validated by Esokia and the customer, I continue with the development phase. This stage generally follows the Scrum method, an Agile approach.

Esokia then moves on to the staging phase, dedicated to testing the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Once the tests have been validated, my team and I move on to production of the first version of the application. This rigorous process guarantees the optimal quality and functionality of every mobile application developed by Esokia.
