On March 19th, the entire Esokia Madagascar staff, as well as the companions and children, gathered to roll up their sleeves for a good cause. And for a worthy cause: the reforestation of the commune of Analamanga in Antananarivo's province. The Ministry of Environment of Madagascar manages this area, which is located 40 kilometers from Tana in the center of the island. Let us recall a wonderful day, a day of citizenship, and a subject dear to our company's heart: The environmental preservation!

What exactly does reforestation about?

Reforestation, as its name implies, is an action aimed at replanting trees or plants in places that have been chopped down or damaged due to human or natural reasons. The procedure entails replanting young shoots of trees or plants that were previously grown in a nursery.

Of course, planting any form of tree or plant is not an option in order to avoid any acclimation issues. In this regard, the acacia has been chosen by Quang-Tri HUYNH, who is in charge of Esokia's office in Madagascar. This plant, which belongs to the mimosa family and is one of the symbols of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur (PACA) area in France, is notable for its rapid growth.

A total of 400 acacia shoots were planted by Esokia employees accompanied by their husbands and wives, with a special mention for their children. The latter took part actively, but more importantly, they learned and recognized the importance of such an action not just for the country's future, but also for the planet's.

The interest of reforestation

If Mother Nature always takes over, a little help from Man is never too much. For example, the cycle of this acacia selected by Quang-Tri is extraordinary: the flowers of the plant allow the bees to pollinate. Stimulated, the trees manage to produce oxygen more easily, absorb Co2, retain the earth (heavy rains, cyclones, etc.), give the bees the necessary elements to produce honey sold by the population.

Last but not least, honey is not only a tasty sweetener, but it is also an antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic that has been used by Man since the dawn of time!

Esokia Madagascar's employees and their families love and support it!

For Quang-Tri, this reforestation initiative has left no one indifferent: "Some people discover the interest, others know the reasons for such an initiative, without having been able to participate in their former company. I also invited the children of our employees, because they are the ones who will inherit our actions!”

More than just a day spent together replanting trees, this initiative by Esokia Madagascar demonstrated that the team was a family, which did not fail to gather around a picnic after the effort!
